OLYMPICS 2012 - LONDON

Olympics 2012 Games held at London end with spectacular ceremony.
U S stood on top with total 104 medals (46 gold 29 silver 29 bronze).
Whereas our country INDIA stood at 55th position with total 6 medals
(2 silver 4 bronze)
India having such a large population of more than  1.22 billion.
It is unfortunate and a point to think after going through the performance of Olympic result,it shows that we are no where inI the world in sports field. With every game controversies erupts, scandals comes up. controversial tennis team reaches London for participating in Olympics. The result is before us. One time champion in Hockey, today we are no where in the world. We faced defeat after defeat in Hockey. Only in Individual effort we were able to achieve some success.
For all this reason is clear, our young generation knows only Cricket and Cricket.
Efforts should be taken by the government and the sport lover to find out the talent and proper training should be provided to stand them in the matches at world level.
It is a sorry affair that we stand no where in sports in the world, rather we are more and more interested in films ,t v serials dance competition and other things.no doubt that industry is providing entertainment to us ,but at the same time sports activity should be encouraged from school level and talent should be encouraged.
Nation feels proud for those players who brought glory, fame in London Olympis 2012.
We Indians congratulate the following players for their best performance in their field and bringing Medals for the country.
Sare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara……….

RAIN IN PATNA

It is from last one week that Patna, capital of Bihar is having heavy rain and the sky is covered with heavy and huge clouds. Although with continuous rain in the city the people of Patna are relieved from the scorching heat that was prevailing in the city for months but we find the roads and lanes of Patna in a very bad condition. School going children and office going people face severe problems of water logging in the city.  Many manholes are open which makes very difficult for people to drive their cars in this season. Different parts of the city like station road, musallahpur area, old Patliputra, old Patna and other areas are full of dirty water and garbage which are scattered on the road. On the same road people are walking with great difficulties and problems. These areas have become hell and worst is expected in the coming months if this situation still continues.

SAVE TIGER

Tiger  is the national animal of India. Every Indian should come together to save the tiger in
India. The growth in population and industrial development is affecting the plants and the wildlife due to deforestation.

In India with over 12% land covered with forests, we have only 1,400 tigers left. It is a matter of great concern and ndtv organized a save tiger campaign.

On 15th July 2012, NDTV joined hands with Aircel to telecast a programme on Save Our Tiger for 12 hours which was viewed by millions and through this programme a fund of Rs 5.81 crore was raised which would be used to save the tiger
.
NDTV Chairman Dr. Prannoy Roy and Save Our Tiger campaign brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan arrive at the Pench Tiger Reserve for the 12-hour Telethon. Kailash Kher ,Sunidhi Chauhan and many more celebrities and singers joined this effort. This tiger campaign provided a platform to tiger conservationists for issues to be raised and concerns to be addressed.

It was a fine effort of ndtv by telecasting such a great cause for 12 hours.

MONSOON IN PATNA

It is a great relief to the Patnaites after a hot weather conditions prevailed  in the city for months. Patna, the capital of Bihar along with other cities witnessed heavy showers. It rained for hours in Patna which marked the beginning of the monsoon. The temperature of the city gradually felled down from 42 degree Celsius to 31 degree Celsius and all the people especially the children were relieved from the scorching heat. People of all ages were seen enjoying the first showers of the rain. Children were seen on their rooftops howling and taking bath in the rain. But due to the continuous rain in the city for several days the people of Patna are tensed because the problem of water logging is seen in different parts of the city. But we still find the problem of electricity and water problems in the state capital, Patna.

Indian President's Election

The President of India is the Head of the Indian Union. He is also the Head of State and the first citizen of the country.

(1)the elected members of both houses of parliament and
(2) the elected members of the legislatives assemblies of the states.

This year election for Indian President is going to be held on 19th of july 2012.

Mr.Pranab Mukherjee and Mr.P N Sangma  has filed their nomination for President.

Before filing of nomination many changes have been seen from different parties, but still we may see the game of politics.

Mr Pranab Mukherjee is a candidate of Congress,NCP and their partners like SP,RJD and others. Many other regional parties are also supporting Mr Mukherjee.

Whereas Mr Sangma is a candidate supported by BJP.As BJP could not find a candidate for presidential election, as they were in favour of Mr.A P J Abdul kalam ,but due to Mr.Kalam reluctance of fighting election against Mr Mukherjee,BJP supported Mr Sangma.BJD,AIADMK are also supporting Mr.Sangma.

Now the contest is between Mr.Mukherjee and Mr.Sangma.

Mr.Pranab Mukherjee is the most favourite with over 65% votes in his favour, whereas,Mr Sangma's only hope is miracle.

Rs 35 lakh spent on renovation of two toilets

In a country like India where a large number of population lives in villages depending on agriculture and living standard is low with least facilities of sanitation.

If one travels through a rail or road especially in the morning hour when one goes for natural calls it is found the people are using the fields as toilets and in metro and urban areas also we find that the public are using the road sidewalls and the corners as toilets. The toilets which are in existence in public places are in a very bad condition. whereas the huge amount is spent on renovation of two toilets which became a topic of discussion.

One should think of it.........

WORLD ENVRONMENT DAY

5th June is treated as any other day which we only remember on that very day. . Our environment, our surrounding is in extreme danger. As soon as we step of our house the first thing that we notice on roads is the huge garbage lying here and there, but we forget that those garbage’s have been thrown by one of us only. There should be correct method of disposal of garbage. Noise pollution is another serious concern in today’s modern and developed world. Effort has been made for no horn but it failed because of extreme traffic jams.  Engineers and architects are cutting down innumerous trees and making bridges, roads, houses, etc. But till when will the earth be quite? Earth is given its anger in the form of tsunamis, earthquakes and so on which is witnessed in different parts of the world. But now the time has come and we need to make sure that the environment in which we live needs to be well cleaned. We can start this by simple steps like growing small plants, throwing garbage’s in the dustbin only and most importantly making people aware by launching various campaigns. So start from today to make the environment eco-friendly.
